Part of the Pet Sitters series

Two pet sitters. One love-sick cat. What could possibly go wrong?

Cassie and Lina can’t wait to pet sit Winton the goat and film a TV commercial!

But Winton has rhythm in his hooves and Gus the grumpy cat has mischief on his mind. With the cameras ready to roll, can Cassie and Lina stop the chaos before it’s too late?

The Pet Sitters books by Ella Shine (pen name for Cecily Paterson and Penny Reeve writing together) and illustrated by Lisa Flanagan are suitable for emerging readers aged 5-7.

There's nothing quite as delightful as when a child eagerly reads a book aloud, and the story captivates adults too, steering clear of the repetitive, mind-numbing early readers often found on shelves. This story is a gem for both parents and children alike! The humor and distinct personalities of the characters within these pages are pure gold. Personally, I couldn't get enough of Gus, the witty feline friend, whose snappy retorts never fail to bring a smile. For anyone craving a tale that delivers chuckles aplenty, this is it.

The author and illustrator have crafted something truly marvellous. The story's pacing is spot-on, and the characters are so well-developed they practically leap off the page. Plus, the word choice strikes just the right balance between accessible and enriching, introducing young readers to a fresh array of vocabulary. As a former educator, I can wholeheartedly vouch for the educational value of this delightful read. It's a definite recommendation from me!

In this hilarious adventure, Lina and Cassie are pet sitting Winton the goat. Winton is set to star in a goat soap commercial and it’s up to Lina and Cassie to keep him calm and demure.

The only problem is Winton is a great dance and he loves all kinds of music. If the people filming the commercial find out that Winton isn’t calm all the time will Lina and Cassie's chance to be in a commercial and their pet sitting days will be over?

Meanwhile, grumpy Gus finds his perfect music in the middle of the commercial shoot and it’s not the type of music to keep Winton calm.

You’ll have to read this gorgeously funny story to find out what happens as Lina and Cassie try to be responsible pet sitters to a booging goat and a grumpy cat.

Perfect for 4-6 year-olds this book will send everyone into a fit of giggles.

This is a fun story with great illustrations.
As with previous Pet Sitter books, I will enjoy reading it to my grandchildren and then letting them take the book home ...the older sibling reading to the younger. Lots of giggles.
